Highlights of the June Div 3/4 and Stone Town Cup, 2007

In June 2007 SSCC organised the annual Stone Town Cup slalom on their Westbridge Park site attracting paddlers form all over the country. The high river levels made for a testing course on both days.

The perpetual trophy awarded by the Mayor to the fastest paddler over both days was won by SSCC junior Tom Woodhead for the 2nd time. Tom won the Div 3 kayak races on both days.

SSCC juniors also claimed the next fives places in Div 3 K1M on the Saturday. In 2nd was Paul Sunderland, 3rd Matthew Parton and in 4th Jack Weddell, who have now all gained enough points for promotion into Div 2. In equal 5th was Adam Moorcroft and Ryan Walker.

In Division 3 C1, 1st place on both days went to Mikey Wilson. On the Saturday in Div 4, Dan Tranter and Rhys Kennerell-Walters both earned promotion with a 1st and 2nd
